Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring Food Production Workers for a leading food manufacturing company in Pittsburgh, PA. These are temp-to-hire positions paying $15.00-$19.00/hr depending on the role, with both 8-hour day shifts and 12-hour day or night shifts available. Depending on the position, you will operate mixing and production equipment, pack and palletize finished products, or clean and sanitize production areas and equipment. Multiple roles are available, and qualified candidates will be matched to the position that best fits their experience and schedule.

Pay: $15.00-$19.00/hr (depending on position)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-hour day shifts; or 12-hour shifts, days or nights depending on position.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15238

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Primary workplace language(s): English, Spanish, French, Swahili, Dari (employees able to translate one or more languages to English receive an additional 1$/hr)

Responsibilities

• Operate food production or mixing equipment following production recipes and work instructions in a food manufacturing facility.
• Inspect products for quality and flag defects or out-of-spec batches.
• Pack finished products and build pallets to meet output and shipping requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas according to sanitation procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ months of recent work history in food manufacturing, food production, packaging, warehouse, or machine operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or a commercial kitchen environment.
• Experience with industrial sanitation, including cleaning and sanitizing production equipment.
• Experience packing, palletizing, or working on a production line.
• Experience operating production or mixing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in warehouse operations or assembly work.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish, French, Swahili, or Dari) who can assist with translation may qualify for an additional $1.00/hr.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, packaging, sanitation, assembly, or other physically demanding work.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work at a fast pace.
• Non-slip shoes required (employee-provided).
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
