Your role will involve monitoring automated plant equipment, conducting chemical analyses, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You'll collaborate with maintenance staff and assist in various operational tasks to maintain the highest degree of treatment and plant integrity.Perform chemical analysis to ensure quality standards.Monitor equipment and report any abnormalities.Assist in preparation of reports and document sampling results.Operate and adjust pumps, valves, and other equipment.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.Work with hazardous chemicals and high voltage equipment.Assist in training and familiarizing new trainees.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or G.E. equivalency with additional training.1 to 3 years of experience in water treatment plant operations.State of Florida Class C Certified Operator's License in water issued by FDEP or equivalent.Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule (7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am).Fluency in English (written and verbal).Ability to lift 50lbs and perform medium physical tasks.PreferencesExperience in a similar role within a municipal water treatment facility.Higher or equivalent licenses and certifications.Don't miss this opportunity to contribute to a vital community service while working in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale.
